At NordSpace,
the Sky
is Not
the Limit
"To me, it's never been about rocket science. It’s about using the resources we have to figure out a way to improve life for everyone on the planet." - Chris Hadfield

Our Why

We are facing another Avro Arrow moment in Canada, and Canada now remains as the only G7 nation without access to space. In our rapidly changing world, our nation cannot risk losing its ability to protect its environment, people, security and economy - all of which are intimately and increasingly connected to space. NordSpace is committed to leading Canada into the new era of commercial space exploration to add critically needed momentum, jobs, innovation, inspiration, investment, and sovereignty to secure our nation's future.

Our Impact

Did you know an entire year of operations for NordSpace would use less fuel than a single trans-Atlantic flight? In exchange, sovereign launch for Canadians enables everything from predicting and combating wildfires in Alberta, to monitoring and protecting whale populations off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. Launch empowers our Canadian Forces in Nunavut to rapidly respond to threats over our undefended Arctic, and grain farmers in Saskatchewan to get precise data to maximize their harvest. Launch unlocks billions of dollars of economic growth and thousands of new high-skill jobs across Canada. Launch will inspire an entire nation and generations of Canadians to dream bigger.

Our History

NordSpace was officially founded in 2022, but it has been a pursuit of the company's founder since childhood. A pursuit to see Canada become a spacefaring nation like so many other nations, and demonstrate how beautiful and capable our nation truly is. Since the company's official founding, we have rapidly grown from literal napkin sketches to flight-ready, in-house manufactured, and tested hardware. NordSpace is moving at a breakneck pace, privately funded and owned because time is of the essence, and is only moving faster by the day.

Our Team

Our team is comprised of the finest aerospace engineers, scientists, and business leaders with experience ranging from working on the world's most powerful rocket engine at SpaceX, to overseeing every generation of the Canadarm, and even building cameras that are now on the Moon. Our team is small, but mighty, and growing every day. We are always looking for proud Canadians who are not only excellent at what they do, but also deeply care about the mission, to join our team.

Our Partners

NordSpace's mission is only possible as a result of the partners and collaborators who work in lockstep with us to ensure our success and the safety of Canadians. We are grateful to the Government of Canada for its continued support. We are also proud to work with Space Canada, Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC), Ontario Aerospace Council (OAC), and Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI) to advance NordSpace's mission.

Our Community

NordSpace is proud to play an increasingly significant role in its community by supporting students and not-for-profits. Our team financially supports nearly 15 student groups building rockets, satellites, or rovers. We also support as leading sponsors the Launch Canada competition as well as the Canadian International Rover Challenge. Our nation's youth are our future, and they deserve our support.
