NordSpace Successfully Tests Integrated Rocket, Completes Major Step Towards Canada’s First Commercial Space Launch
MARKHAM, ONTARIO, CANADA, January 6, 2025 -- At 4:25 PM EST on Monday January 6th, 2025, NordSpace successfully tested its fully integrated sub-orbital rocket, Taiga, marking a significant step forward in preparation for Canada’s first commercial space launch. NordSpace is a leading Canadian space technology company founded in 2022, building and launching orbital launch vehicles in Canada. Taiga is the only known commercial liquid rocket being developed in Canada, and is expected to launch later this year, setting the foundation for the company’s orbital rocket, Tundra. NordSpace is currently in the advanced phases of completing the flight-ready version of Taiga.

NordSpace Announces New Spaceport Canada and $5M Investment, Adding to End-to-End Space Launch System for Canada
MARKHAM, ONTARIO, CANADA, July 31, 2024 -- Ontario-based NordSpace Corp. announced that it will be investing $5M towards the development of the first phase of Spaceport Canada, a mission critical component of the company’s end-to-end space launch service. Spaceport Canada, owned and operated by NordSpace Corp., will be a commercial spaceport designed for the company’s orbital launch vehicle, Tundra, as well as partner launch vehicles under the upcoming Technology Safeguards Agreement (TSA) between the United States and Canada. In addition to substantial benefits for Canada’s national security, environmental protection efforts, and global leadership, such a capability would result in an estimated 650 new highly qualified personnel (HQPs) over the next decade alone and $2.5B in economic development.

NordSpace Successfully Tests Flight Ready Liquid Rocket Engine, Prepares for Canada’s First Commercial Space Launch
MARKHAM, ONTARIO, CANADA, February 13, 2024 -- At 2:25 PM EST on Thursday February 8th, 2024, NordSpace successfully tested its flight ready, regeneratively cooled, rocket engine (Hadfield-10). The Hadfield series of engines are the only commercial orbital-class liquid rocket engines being actively developed in Canada, designed to propel NordSpace's launch vehicle, Tundra, to carry up to 500 kg to Low Earth Orbit (LEO). The in-house additively manufactured Hadfield series of engines are uniquely designed to support multiple fuels alongside cryogenic oxidizers and in particular, environmentally friendly carbon neutral e-fuels.
